Katie Holt is a second-generation equestrian who grew up in Melbourne Beach, Florida, where she developed a passion for riding ponies at a young age. Through hard work and dedication, she quickly learned the ins and outs of proper horsemanship, and began competing on the Florida circuits as a junior. Over the years, she has earned numerous awards and accolades, including Horse of the Year, M&S Medal finals, and several year-end championships.

After completing high school, Katie attended the University of Findlay, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in English Equestrian Studies. During her time there, she honed her skills in hunters, jumpers, equitation, and classical dressage, and competed on both the Intercollegiate Hunt Seat Association (IHSA) team and the Intercollegiate Dressage team. She also completed her Silver Medal at the German Riding School in Vechta, Germany. Throughout her college years, she continued to intern for well-known equestrians during the summers and groomed and rode for several top-tier barns during the winters.

Since graduating from college, Katie has worked as an Assistant Trainer and Rider in Central New Jersey, where she has gained valuable experience teaching beginner to advanced lessons, riding and training client horses, running summer camp programs, coaching IEA teams, and assisting with running winter series horse shows.

In March 2021, Katie opened her own training facility, KHS, where she specializes in training and showing hunters, jumpers, equitation, and classical dressage. With her extensive experience, passion, and dedication to the sport, she is committed to helping her clients succeed and achieve their goals at KHS.
